Privacy policy
Scoop Sage aims to collect as little personal information as the public comparison service needs.
Information collected automatically
When you request a page, our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic or security events. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and understand aggregate service use.
Information you choose to send
If you submit a catalog correction, we receive the product changes, explanation, supporting link, package or label image, and optional contact email you choose to provide. We use that information to evaluate the report, ask for clarification when needed, and maintain an appropriate record of catalog decisions.
Accounts, payments, and advertising
The current public site does not offer user accounts or accept payments. It does not sell personal information. If those practices change, this policy will be updated before the new collection begins.
Cookies and local storage
The comparison interface may use browser storage to remember local display preferences, such as visible columns. Those preferences remain in your browser. Essential infrastructure may also use cookies or similar technologies for security and reliable delivery. Any future analytics will be documented here before launch.
External links and service providers
Merchant and source links lead to independent websites with their own privacy practices. Hosting, content delivery, security—including Cloudflare Turnstile on the correction form—and email providers process limited information on our behalf to operate the service.
Retention and choices
Technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, diagnostics, and operation. Correction contact email is removed 90 days after a report reaches a final decision, or after 365 days if it remains open. Supporting links and uploaded evidence are removed 180 days after a final decision, or after 730 days if a report remains open. Short-lived pseudonymous rate-limit counters are removed after 2 days. The proposed product values, review decision, and non-sensitive audit record may be retained to document the catalog change. You can clear locally stored preferences through your browser.
For a privacy question about information you sent us, contact [email protected].
Children
The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts or forms.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised update date. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies to later use.
